Signal Analysis

The network simulation program ATPDesigner is also able to process several Signal Analysis Methods e.g. the calculation of the frequency spectrum of currents or voltages.

• Calculation and displaying the frequency spectrum based on the Discrete Fourier Transformation
• Calculation of True R.M.S. value based on numerical integration methods

The figure below shows a short-circuit current. Using the both graphic cursors (red and grey line) ATPDesigner processes the Signal Analysis and displays the frequency spectrum or the R.M.S. value. The both graphic cursors can be moved e.g. using the cursor keys. ATPDesigner updates the frequency spectrum "on line" moving the graphic cursors by cursor keys.
