It must be considered that the use of ATP switches can be critical caused by internal mathematical issues of the ATP. If a switch should be used in combination with line models with phase-to-ground capacitances, numerical oscillations can occur. In particular the PI-line model is critical to use. In example 58 a calculation step size of 0,1ms has been used: settings dialog
ATP Data dt = 0.1ms, Step = 1. In addition the setting
Ihold = 5A has been used in the settings dialog of the switch to suppress numerical oscillations.
- Enabled the option Output to TACS in the settings dialog of the switch.
